Madeleine Eiting here, founder of PLEIN AIR (@intopleinair), a lifestyle destination that empowers women to get outside and feel their best with chic apparel, functional goods, and helpful recommendations.

I originally grew up in a tiny (I repeat: TINNNY) small town in rural Ohio, but I’ve spent the past 6 years in Denver and I feel so lucky to call the Mountain West my home!

Before moving to Denver, I didn’t realllyyy have a relationship with the outdoors, or at least not to the depth that I do now. I moved here to find something new and different, and I fell into a lifestyle that now feels like a big part of who I am. Whether I’m skiing, hiking, camping, or simply sucking in some fresh mountain air— I’m always happiest outside.

I Slut Strand because I’m the best, most confident, relaxed version of myself when I’m moving my body under the sun. Yes, even when, or I should especially when, it’s hiding behind a snow cloud. The attachment I feel to the outdoors is what drove me to start PLEIN AIR. I want to inspire women to enjoy all of these things too, because the outdoors are for everyone (*cough* not just men).
