CECE PALMQUIST : WHY I SLUT STRAND

[Why I Slut Strand]: Heyo SSS, so stoked to be here :) My name is Cece Palmquist (@cecepalmquist), and I'm an ex-ski patroller/outdoor industry kid turned music business finatic. Weird pivot, I know... but decided that skiing needed to remain my escape. You can peep my page if you wanna know more about what the heck i spend my days doing, but wanted to share why i became a fangirl and proud member of this here fine society.

Growing up in Colorado, skiing since I was lil' tot & working in the outdoor industry for years... I was constantly looking for ways to differentiate, and own my femininity in a predominantly male landscape. Wasn't until a fellow patroller was rocking two fine af strands, did I find the representation and community I was looking for. While I unfortunately have not gotten as many days on the hill the past few years due to my music career taking over mi life, I still take pride in rocking my strands. And the thing I love about it, more women in music are starting to do the same too. And let me tell u, the music industry needs more rad ladies so hmu!! Anywho, regardless of the activity or location, mountain or concert venue, when I see someone's fine af strands, I immediately feel empowered.

I slut strand because it is my way of showing support for a community and movement that is bigger than me. cus bb when we show that support for one another incredible shi*t happens.
