HANNA WHIRTY : WHY I SLUT STRAND

Why I Slut Strand]: Hi friends! My name is Hanna (@hannawhirty) and, well, oofda. In total honesty, my first response to writing this was “oh wow I’m definitely not cool enough to do this”. But hey, I think that’s part of the reason I slut strand. I slut strand because at the end of the day it doesn’t matter who you are, what you ski, who you ski with, or what your role in this industry might be. Skiing should be all about having fun, filling your soul, and enjoying nature and life. I strand for so many reasons, but mostly for the joy of skiing.

I strand because I’ve been inspired by countless female skiers while growing up and into my career, and I hope that we can only continue to fuel the fire in each other in skiing (and, in life!).

Continuous love to you, SSS. Pull out those strands (physically or metaphorically) and get out there. Smile to other ladies taking their first runs in the park, cheer on a friend making their first steep coulie turns, start a conversation with a fellow lady shredder on the lift. Whatever it is, let’s keep skiing fun and fueling our own fires.
