THE LADIES OF NOVIA: WHY I SLUT STRAND

Hey hey fellow slut stranders, we are the ladies behind Novia! We all come from different resorts in Utah and Colorado, and are between the ages of 16 and 18. We are making a girls ski movie that premieres next fall. It’s goal is to inspire and encourage young girls in the ski community, giving representation in the form of a film. 

We slut strand because they give us femininity in the male dominated ski world. We slut strand because they make us feel confident, cute, and determined on the slopes. We slut strand because they connect us the lady ski community, everywhere we go. We slut strand because we feel most at home with two strands of hair hanging out of our helmet, flying through the air, doing what we do best. We slut strand because being a girl is badass. 

We created Novia to share the feeling of slut stranding with the next generation. It is incredibly important that every woman in the ski community feels represented and recognized, and we believe that slut strand does that.
